Show and Tell: bring your own embroidery. A participatory workshop amongst creative textile artists focusing on the design and interpretation processes. Those who are passionate about textile art and those who are creating textile works using a needle and thread would benefit most from this workshop.
Meet the Artists:
Recognised for their unique and varied methods of storytelling through embroidery, the Mapula embroidery artists turn their focus to the climate crisis in this series of panels, representing key figures in climate activism and advocating for change within and beyond the bounds of their own community.
Five artists from the Mapula Embroidery Project will be conducting the workshop include]ing: Dorah Hlongwane, Selinah Makwana, Kelelo Maepa, Maria Rengane and Elizabeth Malete.
